CRANE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AND MECHANIC

Job Responsibilities:
Crane Service Technician is expected to perform service repair, troubleshooting and inspection on large 100-750+ ton capacity Crawler Cranes.

Job qualifications and experience:

Proven mechanical aptitude.
Dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record.
Ability to comprehend and learn technical manuals. Ability to communicate to others on how to troubleshoot equipment based on standard operating procedures and / or technical manuals.
Ability to operate 100-750+ton crawler cranes, possession of CCO card or ability to obtain certification is mandatory for this position.
Ability and/or experience in rigging equipment for transport. Ability to obtain CCO certification for rigging and signalman will be mandatory for this position.
Experience with computers and ability to prepare required paperwork which may include work order documentation, reporting of expenses, ordering of parts, in bound and out bound inspections.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel. Able to communicate via email.
Customer service skills to include good communication (written and oral) and social skills.
Organization skills.
Ability to travel and be flexible on work schedules.

Physical job requirements:
Job position is very physical and requires the individual to be able to perform duties and work long hours outdoors in a variety of weather.

Extensive requirement to climb, pull, stretch, twist onto large crawler cranes
Climbing and working at heights of 25 feet with proper tie off and safety equipment
Must be flexible and mobile to work in confined areas and able to stoop, crawl and maneuver in small confined spaces
Distant vision of 20/40 or better in each eye separately and binocular, with or without correction
Repetitive lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs
May be required on occasion to lift large components and rigging weighing 100-150 lbs and more
Long hours of standing or sitting may be required

Successful candidates will be dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record. We require a high school graduate or equivalent with secondary mechanical education or training. Experience with mechanical repair, trouble shooting and servicing of cranes preferred. Other job requirements include work order documentation, good communication and organization skills. Experience with computers is a plus.

Currently the company is searching for both Yard and Field Crane Service Technicians with at least 2 years experience working in construction and/or heavy equipment machinery.

Field Mechanics
We are recruiting for field mechanics in the Texas region, California (Northwest region) and also on a contractor site in St. Bernard Parish, LA.

Crane Mechanics/Yard Tech
We are recruiting for crane mechanics to work in our Arcola TX yard and in our Fontana California yard.

WELDER / YARD TECH - FONTANA, CA

Job Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair and fabricate parts and machinery, including, but not limited to, framework, setup hoppers, safety guards, modifications, hard facing, grinding and assisting in loading and unloading equipment.
Job Functions

Operate burning torch, welders and all shop equipment in a safe manner
Perform necessary repairs to plant and construction equipment
Perform all welding and burning on major projects
Fabricate al structural framework and modifications to machines
Assist maintenance on machine repairs and shop projects
Maintain inventory on stock for metal racks and clean operating environment

Knowledge of tools/equipment required:
Arc welder, burning torch, squares measuring device, band saw, metal saw, metal lathe, drill press, wrenches, sockets and hydraulic press.

Job qualifications and experience

Welding AWSD1.1 Certification required or ability to attain certificate
Proven mechanical aptitude
Dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record

Physical job requirements:

Lift and move welding supplies and inventory (requires lifting, pushing and pulling of 45-65 lbs).
Remove and reinstall various size, weights and shapes of equipment parts
Operate forklift
Long hours of standing or sitting may be required
