Date: January 30, 2004
2004-01-30 - Orlando, Florida, USA – Essex Crane Rental Corp exhibits its newest fleet addition at GEO-SUPPORT 2004! The specialty conference & equipment show is a joint effort of The International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC) and The ASCE Geo-Institute (G-I) ADSC/G-I. This premier international technical conference and equipment exhibition is the largest geo-industry gathering held exclusively for those companies specializing in the design and construction of drilled foundations and ground support systems.
The new Liebherr HS855SX was displayed and is powered by a hefty 8-cylinder 544 horsepower Liebherr engine, the HS855SX will not fall short on power. This power drives the impressive hoist drums which supply 44,100 pound continuous duty line pull and spool 30mm diameter wire rope. In addition, these units are equipped with a large capacity third drum, and special auxiliary hydraulics with separate circuits to power pile driving equipment, vibratory hammers, and other specialty foundation equipment.
Bill O’Rourke, Vice President Sales and Marketing “We are excited about our new “Liebherr’s” and our move into the specialty foundation market.” “Many of the attendees here this week are already Essex Crane customers drawing from our extensive fleet of Manitowoc lift cranes. Now they can count on Essex Crane for these special foundation rigs! We currently have two units working in the Midwest performing slurry wall and grab work and they are performing flawlessly!”
