Essex adds key new addition to service and parts management team
Essex has announced the appointment of Mike Bernardy as manager of purchasing and inventory. He will be responsible for procuring parts, handling of inventory, and vendor negotiations at a corporate level. Bernardy will be reporting directly to William Erwin, vice president of operations.
Bernardy has over eight years of experience in the crane industry and his time with Manitowoc CraneCARE makes him a perfect fit for this new position within Essex, according to Erwin.
“Mike is well-respect in the industry and his background in inventory management will be crucial asset in his new position,” said Erwin. “I believe that Mike’s addition will help us provide better customer service by improving quality, purchasing capacity and the timeliness of inventory.”
Bernardy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in business. He will work out of his home office in Wisconsin, but will spend significant time at Essex’s various service centers.
